Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the

My defense and shield depend on God, Who saves the upright in heart

They confronted and came upon me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork
The poor and afflicted shall eat and be satisfied...
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of
the nations shall bow down and worship before You.
For the kingdom is the Lord's, and He rules over the nations.
All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the
dust shall bow before Him, even he who cannot keep himself alive.
Posterity shall serve Him. They shall tell of the Lord to the next generation...
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

One thing I have asked of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and to
meditate and inquire in His temple
The Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him
The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is upon
many waters
For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime;
weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and
clothed me with gladness
Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be my Rock of refuge, a strong Fortress
of defense to save me!
I (the Lord) will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will
counsel you with My eye upon you
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, who wait for Him and hope in His mercy
and loving-kindness
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
The Angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Evil shall slay the wicked and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned
Vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness- and let (my foes)
not rejoice over me!
Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers
in his way- because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret- it only causes harm.
But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
The Lord will not leave the righteous in their hands, nor allow them to condemn him
when he is judged.
The wicked have drawn the sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy,
to slay those who are of upright conduct.
Their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.
As for me, You have upheld me in my integrity, and set me in Your presence forever.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel- from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen!
God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains
be shaken into the midst of the seas...
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing Spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You.
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt
offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart- these, O God,
You will not despise.
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the loving-kindness and
mercy of God forever and ever
Behold, God is my helper and ally; the Lord is my upholder and is with them who
uphold my life. He will pay back evil to my enemies
O God, You are my God; earnestly will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh
longs for You in a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.
Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name
You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of
water; You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it.
You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance
But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation.
God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land
Let them be ashamed and confounded Who seek my life; let them be turned back and confused Who desire my hurt.
But I am poor and needy; make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay
You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I
may declare all Your works
But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.
For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup (of His anger), and the wine is red (like blood) and fully mixed-
He pours it out and all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink its dregs
I will (earnestly) recall the deeds of the Lord (what He has done for me)
...telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His
wonderful works that He has done. {For example, in Exodus}:
in the daytime He led them with a (pillar of) cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.
He brought streams (of water) out of the rock (at Rephidim and Kadesh), and caused waters
to run down like rivers. And He rained down upon them manna to eat and gave them heaven's grain.
You called in trouble, and I delivered you...
I am the Lord your God...open your mouth wide, and I will fill it
For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows (present) grace and favor-
and future glory; no good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly
(Lord), will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who
call upon You. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.
Teach me Your way, O Lord- that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my
heart to fear and honor Your name
Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God
You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow
(the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day
(Growing in grace) they shall still bring forth fruit in old age- they shall be full of
sap (spiritual vitality) and flourishing (rich in trust, love, and contentment)
In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth...
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so...
The works of the Lord are great- studied by all who have pleasure in them.
He has given food to those who fear Him...
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those
who do His commandments. His praise endures forever
From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord's name is to be praised
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
The Lord is my Strength and Song, and He has become my Salvation.
The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.
This was the Lord's doing- it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made- we will rejoice and be glad in it
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path
He will not allow your foot to be moved- He who keeps you will not slumber.
The Lord is your keeper...
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil- He will keep your life
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time
forth and forever
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward
...Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I
Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity
...Cause me to know the way in which I should walk...
Teach me to do Your will...
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised- and His greatness is unsearchable.
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him- to all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him- in those who hope in His mercy
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people- He will beautify the humble with salvation
and adorn the wretched with victory
